It is the first programme on its field in Turkey. The aim of the programme is raising technical staff knowledgeable of maintaining turf grass surfaces such as football fields, golf courses, hotels, parks and gardens. Students receive both theoretical and practical education throughout the two year study period. The subjects taught cover land measuring, drainage, irrigation systems, fertilization, turf grass maintenance and protection.

Applicable subjects are predominantly taught in the open fields and turf management machinery storage on the school premises. Technical excursions are also taken to plant fairs and turf grass nurseries and also business professionals are invited to give sessions.

The graduates can work at private enterprises for turf propagation, maintenance and marketing and also the related state departments of the country as technical staff.

At the end of the two year programme, students who accomplish the required higher education exam may continue their studies in landscape architecture or agriculture departments.
